Splatoon, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, Project Zomboid

its october now, which means its the spooky month ! thats pretty awesome. its... 4am? and im deciding to write a blog post. my sleep schedule isnt all that great at the moment haha

anyway, i have been pretty productive recently (im lying) and i have done some upgrades (or downgrades, if you dislike the changes) to the website! i removed some things i don't use anymore and made it spookier... im also working on adding this website to a few web rings ! so thats pretty awesome. i also added a seperate tab for the radio station, so its easier to differentiate from the rest of the homepage. on the javascript side, the website is finally usable on mobile again! i made it so you can open and close the sidenav since it was bugging me for weeks (i was on vacation though, so i couldnt do anything) anyway, enough of that nerd website mumbo jumbo, what have i been playing recently?

the main game i have been playing is dead rising deluxe remaster. it's peak, but its unfinished. like, its a review build. the game adds barely anything, except for some books, and tweaks to change the gameplay. people say it has INSANE CENSORSHIP!! as if its not like 1 character and like, a camera category. i especially love the new models, and the new rewards for achievements (the saint book is overpowered i love it) but other than the rocket launcher, its pretty faithful to the vanilla. oh wait, thats because even the scripts, itemlayouts, and zombie placements are the same.

anyway, i have been playing some splatoon 3, and i forgot how good it was!! im really bad at the game except for occasional full wipeout. im still experimenting for what weapons i like though, so im sure when i find one thats right for me ill start to learn more.

i especially love how alive the world feels, especially in the lobby. it feels like my character is actually living in the world instead of just kinda... being there if that makes sense?? like for example, apex legends just kinda makes you appear when its time to kill each other for the 5th time today, but with splatoon it feels like your character is there in the world. it also helps that you can draw and see other peoples drawings in lobby, along with the shops.

i especially love how salmon run is advertised as if its an actual job you can sign up for.

one last game i have been addicted to is project zomboid. im playing on a server and i am rather stuck in a rural town in some farmland, since i was basically just homeless in west point. i was severely depressed, hungry, and extremely stressed from the lack of cigarettes by the time i reached my new base (its a pretty old base actually, over 2 years old since it was last used!) but now that im in the town i just need to find some gas and hopefully a working car and get out before i die.

my next plan? get to riverside. or, try to get to riverside at least. i have spent my entire run walking so i definitely need a car before i even try to get there. i cant stay in this town forever, since its pretty low on food and theres regular looting runs from people there, so i need to be there on the dot right when the reset happens to even get a chance of having some loot for myself. this actually kinda reminds me of that parkour civilization thing that was trending on twitter... i need to jump for the raw beef...

anyway, i procrastinated enough. it took me 2 hours to write this
