I'm Exhausted With Generative AI

I feel like every day a new thing gets announced, and without fail it will ALWAYS include AI or at least MENTION it. that blender over there? thats not a normal blender, thats an AI BLENDER!!! your tv has AI features to ruin everything you watch! you need an ai stream assistant so you dont have to talk and interact with your chat!

what is even more annoying is that its taking jobs and ruining others. recently, EA tried to force all of the apex legends french voice actors to sign a contract that would allow EA to use their voice to train ai, or they would be fired. so their only options were: take the contract and lose their job from a soulless ai version of THEIR voice or not take the contract and lose their job anyway. from what im aware of, all of the french voice actors no longer work on Apex Legends.

its kinda funny because this could have been easily avoided if ai just, never existed. another example of ai just being terrible for everyone is chatgpt in general. i see people spreading misinfo on platforms like tiktok and twitter (which is pretty fun to do from time to time, deltarune tommorow by the way) but they arent doing it on purpose, they are doing it because they genuinely believe it, and when someone tries to prove them wrong these people say "yeah, well chatgpt told me *misinfo*" as if chatgpt is an all knowing god that is superior to a search engine in every aspect. its extremely confusing because, did you not use a search engine to FIND chatgpt? to search it up and use it?? to ask it the info you COULD HAVE USED A SEARCH ENGINE FOR????

it's sneaking its way into everything. maybe it will be in neocities soon, who knows
